Listen Up

Okay, people. It's time to stop whining like a bunch of pussies. I'm going to state a few things that are bothering me:
1. The Bruins aren't a dirty team. We who watch them every night know this.
2. The league, for whatever reason, has decided that the hit Subban threw on Krejci the other night wasn't dirty. Though I disagree, it is what it is.
3. The Bruins have seen the Canucks once this year. They won't see them again unless they're playing for the Cup. Let's get past the bullshit that's still falling on us from that one game.
4. Too much talking is going on. The shit off the ice has become a distraction. Marchand was on Twitter for all of 12 hours and then supposedly deleted his account. I love the kid, but him being on Twitter would only lead to bad things.
The Bruins, as well as the fans, need to suck it up, realize that they are playing under a different set of rules (for some fucking reason) and drive on. Enough with the pissing and moaning. Play the goddamn game. Don't change a fucking thing. Hit hard. Fight hard. Score goals. Defend your teammates. Fuck what the league and writers from Vancouver are saying or doing. It is what it is.
If the whining continues, the team and the fans run the risk of turning into an entity that is constantly crying and boo-hooing and looks like a bunch of women that are on coordinated menstrual cycles.
Like I said, it is what it is and no amount of belly aching is going to change it. The Bruins need to press on and forget all the bullshit that seems to swirl around them. To do anything else could have huge negative implications for the rest of the season. The Bruins have been conducting themselves like professionals for quite some time. The last two weeks have driven a spike into their conduct. Although it was great to see Thornton take apart that reporter on-air, that's the exact shit I'm talking about. All of the talking is going on BECAUSE the Bruins are once again the team to beat this year. They can't stoop to the level of all the fuckers that want to distract them. Time to shut up and play some hockey, boys. And to all the fans: time to shut up and watch our boys as they continue on with their season.
Go B's.

If you want it all dropped why do you bring it up. The B's are awesome end of story.

Jackie: Yes, the Bruins are awesome. I completely agree. I bring it up because some fans are starting to sound like Montreal fans with their constant bitching. And that's something I can't abide.

Anonymous: I just want to say that if you're going to call someone "dumb" in a comment, you better be DAMN sure your grammar and spelling is correct in said comment.

its not about the spelling and grammar its about the point and if you can only comment on that and that alone then my point is true...

My opinion is that Subban's elbow was a little high for my liking. Seems that Ference had the same opinion. Whatever. It's in the past and the game is starting in ten minutes.

Look Anonymous, I've played hockey all my life as well. And at EVERY position, yes that includes goalie and as a coach. That hit that Subban threw is not very different from hits that Lucic throws on occasion. It toes the line, but if every Lucic hit is going to be questioned by the league, why shouldn't Subban's? His elbow came up a little too high for my liking as well, if he keeps his arm from coming up, regardless of whether it makes contact or not, I have NO problem with the hit.

On a related note: My issue with that hit is that Subban isn't willing to take what comes to guys that throw big hits like that and the one he laid on Marchand last season. He isn't willing to pay the price for playing big. And that, is ABSOLUTELY COWARDLY. You don't turtle and cover your head on the ice and then get up running your mouth about the big hit you threw. Even if he gets his ass kicked at least he's willing to answer the bell and I'd have 10x more respect for him. He's got tons of skill, but his personality is what's going to limit his career.

Personally I feel that if a player throws a hit like that one and then doesn't answer the bell it should be a factor in the suspension decision. It's kind of like knocking up a girl accidentally, but only offering to pay for the abortion or the Plan B pill. Man up and take responsibility for your actions and you'll be respected even though you fucked up. Just my thought on it.

Also, Sheriff, I've got a question for you as I'm very interested to hear what you've got to say.

What think of the "Iginla wanting to go to Boston if he moves" rumor?

As much as I love Jarome Iginla's game, I'm not sold on bringing him here even if for the end of the season. We'd have to give up way too much in the short-term and the long-term to bring him here. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Also, Schenn-JVR trading spots possibly? Cool, let's kill another bright young stars career by sending him to the Leafs... Smart move Holmgren...

I don't like the idea of messing with the chemistry the team has going right now. All four lines contribute. I'm not a huge fan of the late season trades. Yes, the Bruins won the Cup last year, but Kaberle did exactly jack shit and the Leafs picked up a few players/picks in the deal.
I think JVR is good, but consistency has been an issue this year. Now that's he's down with a concussion, I'm sure the trade talk will simmer down for a bit.

Amen Sheriff 25!!! The games that have been played are done, move on, focus on the next one...40 plus more regular season games and then playoff time. The last few weeks have brought the Boys many distractions off-ice, and what they need to do is FOCUS on the next game, one skate in front of the other....still alot of hockey left...and I know in my Heart they can do it again...by doing what they do, Playing hockey! Life "ain't" fair, we all know that...Keep your head up and score two!
